IDEA Parental Consent to Access Public Benefits or Insurance e.g. Medicaid
US Ed-OSERS announced a revision to parental consent regulations for accessing public funds, (e.g. Medicaid), authorized by IDEA 2006 34 CFR §300.154 (d). This change will allow LEAs to obtain a one-time written consent and provide written notification to the child’s parents before accessing the child’s or the parent’s public benefits
