Medicaid Coordinator
RITAP is a registered vendor of professional development with
the Rhode Island Department of Education Office of Teacher Certification
and Professional Development. As such, many of the workshops/conferences
offered by RITAP staff are available for RIDE professional development
credits. Districts may request professional development pre-approval

Workshops available:
This workshop provides an overview of
Medicaid eligibility options and the benefits available to children
birth to 21 in Rhode Island. It offers general knowledge and
contact information about Medical Assistance for school personnel,
including social workers, psychologists and school nurse teachers,
as well as for parents and other members of the community. Fill
out a request form to request a workshop. A packet of information
is given to all workshop participants.
Time: 2-3 hours
This workshop provides an overview of the Comprehensive Evaluation Diagnosis
Assessment Referral and Re-evaluation (CEDARR) Initiative administered
by the Department of Human Services. It offers general knowledge to school
personnel, families and other community groups about the CEDARR Initiative.
Information includes services provided by CEDARR Family Centers and CEDARR
Direct Services including the Home-based Therapeutic Services (HBTS), Kids
Connect (provision of therapeutic support in childcare settings), and Personal
Assistance Services and Supports (PASS). Fill out a request form to request a workshop. A packet of information is given to all
workshop participants.
