Rhode Island Parent Information Network

Our mission is to assist individuals, parents, families and children to achieve their goals for health, educational, and socio-economic well being by providing information, education, training, support and advocacy for person/family centered care and systems change.

Starting POINTS for Parents is an online community for families and caregivers of children with disabilities Providing Opportunities for Information, Networking,Training and Support as they learn, share and connect on how they can support the educational and developmental needs of their children.

The Parent Support Network

An organization of families supporting families with children, youth, and young adults who experience or are at risk for serious behavioral, emotional, and/or mental health challenges. PSN seeks to strengthen and preserve families and reduce family isolation by promoting positive mental health and well-being, and building a culturally and linguistically competent system of care, through advocacy, education, training, and increased public awareness.

Parents and Friends for Alternate Living (PAL)

PAL is a family organization that believes in meeting people where they are and providing them with opportunities to make informed choices based on best practices regarding individuals with disabilities. They assist families and individuals in identifying their own personal communication styles and then helping them build bridges in their communities to the supports and services they need.

Family Voices Resource Guide

Every Day Life Skills

Everyday Life Skills allows teachers and parents to guide students with special needs and empower them to become more self sufficient and independent. A Family and Consumer Education teacher and a Special Education teacher combined their years of experience and expertise to create these special education resources. These resources reinforce basic cooking skills while strengthening reading, writing, math, and processing skills.
